For me the chorus is a little obnoxious compared to the verses. In the instance of 'Man of the Year', it worked so well because of how measured it is throughout, whereas this is a little all over the place. I suppose the length facilitates that somewhat, as I would definitely prefer it being more succinct. Can't be too critical though, because it recalls to mind 'Started From The Bottom', a song I definitely admire.
