**** I'd enjoyed some James TW tracks in the past, but when I heard this it pretty quickly became my favourite from him. He has a beautiful voice and it's suited perfectly to a simple love song like this one. It's hard to touch on anything lyrically that stands out here because it's so general and non-specific, but the sentiment of the lovely words on offer is still able to carry across due to the impressive vocal work. The chorus is the highlight of the song, with an incredibly catchy melody and I love the way there's an extra layer behind the last few words of each line there. This allows each line to end with an uplifting feeling which is carried into the next. As a result, the track is successfully able to get the listener to feel the love being conveyed by the song, making up for anything lacking lyrically. Another memorable and lovely moment is after the chorus with the repetition of "you, you, you and me, me, me". The soaring "whoa"'s to end the song are also delightful. |
